Background of the Lawsuit

Plaintiff Steven Perry filed a class action lawsuit against The Boeing Company and Boeing Financial Corporation in King County Superior Court (Case No. 24-2-12754-2 SEA). Perry alleged that Boeing violated Washington state law, RCW 49.58.110, by posting job openings in Washington without disclosing the wage scale, salary range, or a general description of benefits for the positions. The class covers people who applied to those postings between January 1, 2023, and March 31, 2026.

Boeing denied the allegations, contending it did not violate any law and that Perry’s claims are without merit. Rather than continue litigation, both sides agreed to a settlement. The total settlement fund ranges from $5,235,990 to $8,044,000 depending on how many class members file valid claims. The settlement is not an admission of wrongdoing by Boeing.

King County Superior Court preliminarily approved the settlement on March 31, 2026. A Final Approval Hearing is scheduled for August 7, 2026, before Judge John McHale. No payments will go out until the Court grants final approval. For more details, visit the official settlement website.
