Settlement Fund Breakdown

Background of the Lawsuit

On February 20, 2024, cybercriminals carried out a ransomware attack against PS Logistics, the parent company of P&S Transportation, LLC. The attack exposed the private information of employees and others connected to the company. PS Logistics began mailing breach notification letters to affected individuals on December 19, 2024.

Following the breach, class representatives Reginald Walker, Gregory Dooley, and Sharon Green filed class action lawsuits on behalf of all U.S. residents who received those notification letters. The lawsuits alleged negligence, negligence per se, breach of implied contract, and unjust enrichment, claiming PS Logistics failed to adequately protect the personal data it held.

PS Logistics has not admitted any wrongdoing. Both sides agreed to settle to avoid the cost and uncertainty of a trial. The court has not ruled on the merits of the claims.
