The People of the State of California brought legal action against DoorDash Inc. alleging violations related to the company’s handling of driver compensation and classification. The case involves two separate restitution-eligible driver groups stemming from prior opt-out settlements in the Marko and Marciano cases.
DoorDash entered into a Final Stipulated Judgment in the case to resolve the allegations. The settlement established a restitution fund for eligible drivers who had previously opted out of the related settlement classes in Marko, et al. v. DoorDash Inc. and Marciano, et al. v. DoorDash, Inc.
Eligible drivers must submit a Claim Form by March 18, 2026, to receive their share of the restitution fund. Drivers are required to affirm their eligibility under one of the two qualifying categories and provide supporting information with their claim.
