What You Need to Do to Get Paid

To receive a benefit, you must file a Claim Form by the deadline.

  • Online: Submit a claim electronically at ArthritisDataBreach.com.
  • Mail: Download a paper Claim Form from the website or request one by phone, and mail it to the Settlement Administrator postmarked no later than January 26, 2026.

Proof of loss is not required for the Alternative Cash Payment (estimated $100). Reasonable documentation is required to claim reimbursement for Documented Losses (up to $5,000).

Settlement Payout

Estimated Payout Per Person

Settlement Class Members may submit a claim for one of the following benefits:

  • Cash Payment A (Documented Losses): Compensation of up to $5,000 for unreimbursed out-of-pocket losses incurred as a result of the Data Incident. This includes fraud, identity theft, professional fees, credit repair, credit freezing costs, and miscellaneous expenses (postage, mileage, etc.). Reasonable documentation is required.
  • Cash Payment B (Alternative Cash Payment): An estimated cash payment of $100. This amount is subject to pro rata increase or decrease based on the number of valid claims and remaining funds after other expenses. No documentation of loss is required for this option.

The lawsuit alleges that in or around May 2024, Asheville Arthritis and Osteoporosis Center, P.A. experienced a Data Incident that compromised the private and personally identifying information of its patients and employees.
