Settlement Fund Breakdown

Background of the Lawsuit

In November 2022, a targeted cyberattack hit Tangoe US, Inc.’s computer systems. Files containing personal information were accessed during the incident. That information may have included names, dates of birth, Social Security numbers, medical records, health insurance details, medication information, medical billing and claims data, and financial account information.

Plaintiff Kevin McLinden filed suit in the Superior Court for Marion County, Indiana, alleging that Tangoe failed to adequately protect that data. The case, assigned Case No. 49D06-2312-PL-048384, sought relief on behalf of all U.S. residents whose private information was impacted.

Tangoe denies any wrongdoing, and the court has not ruled on the merits. Both sides agreed to settle to avoid the costs and uncertainties of continued litigation. The proposed settlement provides affected individuals with cash payments and credit monitoring services, pending final court approval. For more details, visit the official settlement website.
