This settlement resolves claims tied to a cyber security incident that exposed sensitive personal information — including genetic data and health reports — belonging to millions of 23andMe users. The company, now operating as Chrome Holding Co., has agreed to a settlement fund of between $30 million and $50 million.
You may be eligible if you were a 23andMe customer at any time between May 1, 2023, and October 1, 2023, resided in the U.S. during this period, and received a notice that your personal information was compromised.

Claims can be submitted online at www.23andMeDataSettlement.com by 11:59 p.m. Central Time on February 17, 2026. You can also mail a completed claim form to the Settlement Administrator, postmarked by the same date.
For Extraordinary Claims, you’ll need documentation such as credit card statements, bank statements, invoices, receipts, or police reports showing unreimbursed costs. Health Information and Statutory Claims rely on verification of residency and receipt of notice.
