What You Need to Do to Get Paid

Eligible Class Members must complete and submit a Claim Form online at the settlement website or by mail. You must choose between the Alternative Cash Payment, Credit Monitoring, or Expense Reimbursement. The deadline to submit is January 12, 2026.

No documentation is required to claim the $60 Alternative Cash Payment or Credit Monitoring. Claims for Ordinary or Extraordinary Loss Reimbursement require third-party documentation such as receipts, bills, or invoices.

Estimated Payout Per Person

Settlement Class Members may submit a claim for one of the following benefits: a flat $60 Alternative Cash Payment, two years of credit monitoring, or reimbursement for documented losses. Ordinary losses (including up to $80 for lost time) are capped at $1,000. Extraordinary losses related to identity theft are capped at $3,500.

The defendant denies all allegations of wrongdoing but agreed to settle to resolve the litigation.

The Class includes all persons residing in the United States whose PII was or may have been compromised in the M.I. Industries, Inc. Data Breach detected on or around October 2024.
If you do nothing, you will not receive any payment or free Credit Monitoring Services, and you will give up your right to sue the Defendant for the claims resolved by this settlement.
Yes. If you wish to keep your right to sue the Defendant, you must exclude yourself by submitting a written request postmarked no later than December 15, 2025.
Payment will be sent within sixty days after the Effective Date or the date when all Claim Forms have been processed, whichever is later, following the Final Approval Hearing scheduled for January 16, 2026.
