Eligible States
Eligible Class Members must complete and submit a Claim Form online at the settlement website or by mail. You must choose between the Alternative Cash Payment, Credit Monitoring, or Expense Reimbursement. The deadline to submit is January 12, 2026.
No documentation is required to claim the $60 Alternative Cash Payment or Credit Monitoring. Claims for Ordinary or Extraordinary Loss Reimbursement require third-party documentation such as receipts, bills, or invoices.
Settlement Class Members may submit a claim for one of the following benefits: a flat $60 Alternative Cash Payment, two years of credit monitoring, or reimbursement for documented losses. Ordinary losses (including up to $80 for lost time) are capped at $1,000. Extraordinary losses related to identity theft are capped at $3,500.
The lawsuit alleges that M.I. Industries, Inc. failed to properly secure the personally identifiable information of its current and former employees, resulting in a cyberattack detected on or around October 16, 2024. The defendant denies all allegations of wrongdoing but agreed to settle to resolve the litigation.
