Who’s Eligible
- You must have entered into a Rental-Purchase Agreement with RAC Acceptance East, LLC (Acceptance Now) in California.
- The agreement must have been entered into between December 11, 2016, and June 30, 2021.
- You must have been charged a processing fee.
- Excluded are current employees of RAC, judicial officers, and their families.

What You Need to Do to Get Paid
No claim form is required to receive a payment. Payments will be sent automatically to eligible Class Members who do not exclude themselves. Class Members will be notified of the opportunity to select a digital payment method (Venmo, PayPal, Direct Deposit). Those who do not make a selection will receive a paper check.
Settlement Payout
Participating Class Members will receive a cash payment. First, each member receives a full refund of the $45 processing fee paid for each Covered Transaction. Second, any remaining funds will be distributed to members with Statutory Damage Transactions (agreements entered between Dec 11, 2019, and June 30, 2021). The minimum total payment per person is $45.
- Settlement Fund: $14,000,000.00
- Attorneys’ Fees: Up to 33-1/3% of the Settlement Amount
- Litigation Expenses: Up to $500,000
- Service Payments: Up to $10,000 (aggregate)
