Settlement Payout

Estimated Payout Per Person

Payments depend on which breach affected you and if you have proof of loss. You can choose a flat ‘Tier’ payment or a ‘Documented Loss‘ payment.

  • AT&T 1 (March 2024): Up to $5,000 for documented losses. Alternatively, a cash payment (Tier 1 for SSN exposed is 5x higher than Tier 2).
  • AT&T 2 (July 2024): Up to $2,500 for documented losses. Alternatively, a Tier 3 cash payment.
Settlement Fund Breakdown
$177,000,000

The $177 million fund is split between two data incidents:

  • AT&T 1 Fund (March 2024 Breach): $149 million
  • AT&T 2 Fund (July 2024 Breach): $28 million

Background of the Lawsuit

Plaintiffs allege that AT&T failed to properly secure customer data, leading to two massive data breaches. The first (March 2024) exposed sensitive info like Social Security numbers. The second (July 2024) exposed call and text logs. AT&T denies wrongdoing but settled to avoid trial.
