You are eligible if you fall into one or both of these groups:
Eligible States
Online: Visit telecomdatasettlement.com and click ‘Submit Claim’. You will need the Unique ID from your email or postcard notice.
Mail: Download the claim form from the documents page and mail it to the Settlement Administrator.
Standard “Tier” Cash Payments: No proof is required. You only need your Class Member ID to submit.
Documented Loss Payments: You must provide third-party documentation (e.g., bank statements, receipts, professional invoices) showing the loss was caused by the breach. Self-prepared notes (like handwritten statements) are not sufficient on their own.
Overlap Claims: If you are claiming specific losses for both the March and July breaches, you must submit unique documentation for each incident.
Payments depend on which breach affected you and if you have proof of loss. You can choose a flat ‘Tier’ payment or a ‘Documented Loss‘ payment.
The $177 million fund is split between two data incidents:
Plaintiffs allege that AT&T failed to properly secure customer data, leading to two massive data breaches. The first (March 2024) exposed sensitive info like Social Security numbers. The second (July 2024) exposed call and text logs. AT&T denies wrongdoing but settled to avoid trial.
